CDL-A Local Driver – Intermodal – Indianapolis, IN

We are hiring CDL-A drivers for a local intermodal position based out of our Indianapolis terminal. This role offers consistent daily routes, predictable home time, and a mix of drop-and-hook and local delivery work.

Position Overview

• Location: Indianapolis, IN (46221)
• Local operation with daily dispatch from terminal
• Drivers run to the Chicago area and return daily, with additional local routes within a 100-mile radius
• Slip seat operation (day cab)
• Start and end each shift at the terminal
• Shift: Fri-Tues (Off Wed/Thurs)
• Start time: 0100 (1:00 AM)

Compensation

• Average Annual Earnings: $72,000 – $80,000
• Pay Range: $0.50 – $0.57 CPM
• $5,000 Sign-On Bonus
• (Paid in installments; eligibility and terms apply)
• Drop & Hook Pay: $25.00

Freight & Equipment

• 75% drop and hook
• 53’ dry van (box trailers)
• Average 6–7 stops per load
• Approximately 17 loads per week
• Trucks remain at the terminal during time off
• No passengers or smoking permitted in equipment

Benefits & Time Off

• Paid Time Off + Holidays:
• Year 1: 18 days (12 PTO + 6 holidays)
• Years 1–5: 22 days
• Years 6–13: 27 days
• Years 14–18: 30 days
• 19+ years: 32 days

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license
• Minimum 3 months driving experience
• Must obtain Hazmat endorsement within 60 days (company reimbursed)
• Must live within 50 miles of Indianapolis, IN
